Ten Major Personal Beliefs of Ken Faulkenberry

Here are my 10 major personal beliefs:

I believe I was created by God; a totally unique body, mind, and soul.

I believe I am a sinner, and therefore fall short of being worthy to spend eternity in heaven.  God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die for me (pay my penalty), so that I could have eternal life.  After 3 days he arose from the grave and offers this free gift of eternal life to all. All I had to do is accept that gift to spend eternity with God in heaven.

I believe in the Constitution of the United States and limited government.  The job of the federal government is to protect life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  Basically, this means provide for the national defense, protecting citizens from crimes against other citizens, and provide a framework for adjudicating disputes and fraud in our society.  All other functions are reserved for the states.

I believe in individual freedoms.  Every individual has a right to free speech, to worship, and peaceably assemble as they please.

I believe life begins at conception. Science has proven it; our hearts already know it. The government has the obligation to provide the unborn baby the same right to life afforded the rest of society.

I believe in the right of the people to keep and bear Arms.

I believe in abolishing the 16th Amendment allowing the government to tax incomes. We should institute The Fair Tax.  Not only is taxing incomes inefficient economically; more importantly it has greatly increased the power and intrusiveness of the federal government.  The Fair Tax would be a national sales tax which would give people more choice and freedom and get government out of personal finances.

I believe universal healthcare can only be achieved through tyranny.  Besides the fact that Universal Healthcare has not worked well on any large scale, it takes mandates, force, and a huge loss of individual freedoms to achieve universal healthcare.  Without mandates that will jail people for not participating it won’t work.  History has shown that societies willing to trade security for freedom, wind up with neither.

I believe that individual people and charities should take care of the poor and disadvantaged.  The government has stolen much of this honor from us by first, taking our money, and second by giving people the false belief that government can provide for the needy.  The more government spends on poverty the more poverty we have.

I believe I should use my God given talents to help people.  With an MBA and 24 years of investment experience, one of my talents is; I’m really good with money.  Through the Arbor Investment Planner I help individuals self-direct their investments by providing a properly diversified asset allocated model portfolio with specific buy and sell instructions.
